Glyn "Hammer" Richards, arguably one of the best hitters in vintage base ball, joined the club in 2006. In 2007, after going 0-7 to start the season, "Hammer" was awarded the title of captain and led the team on a 16-8 run to finish the season. He led the team in 2006 and 2007 in almost all offensive categories, including homeruns, triples, and doubles, and won "Offensive Player of the Year" for the past two years. His offensive attack was highlighted in 2007 when he went 4 for 5 with 4 doubles against Newtown in Old Bethpage, winning a tough game with only 7 other teammates on the field. His fondest base ball memory was winning the Maryland State Championship against Talbot.
