Click on the button to the left (or click here) to learn about the First Annual Gettysburg 19th Century Base Ball Tournament being played this summer in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. America's game being played in one of America's most historical settings - this promises to be one of the best 19th Century base ball events in the country!

Welcome to the official home of the Elkton Eclipse, a vintage base ball (yes, it used to be two words!) team located in Elkton, Maryland. the Eclipse is dedicated to bringing history to life by playing base ball as it was played in the 19th Century. Look around our website. Read about the players and the history of the Eclipse (a real team from Elkton over 140 years ago!).

After that, check out our schedule so that you can join us one afternoon to see what base ball was like in the 19th Century; when the game was played by hard-nosed gentlemen and admission was only 15 cents.

Each game is attended by various members of the Cecil County Historical troupe who dress and act as if it were the 1860s, making a day at the ball field an educational and unforgettable experience for the whole family.
